        • hey ninja – I also wanted to just say that this image reminds me of a very fancy and modern Christmas card – not totally – but in a way – with the red, the green, the content, and the sparkle. I think it could fit there very well .

          • yeah… until I this wednesday afternoon did little too much exercise with my hip-bone- and thigh-area. The next day it was kind of pushing the “panic-button” and I had knots sharp as if with “glass-splinter” in my buttocks …
Now it may sound fun…. O_o

          • oh sending you some “hope you feel better” wishes – even though I think exercise recovery is one of the best things to suffer thru (well you know what I mean) 🙂

          • I know what you mean! 😀 Better this kind of pain then the other….
But I did overdo it a bit. Must take the training a little bit slowly. Give it (me) time!

          • well said – give it time – and I have been needing to slow down with my workouts too – I am not big into “training” – but I have been feeling so good that I have been using the incline on the treadmill – but then did too much and well…. as the sage continues
            🙂

          • It’s easy to overdo training, when it feels so good when doing it. I had to stop at the physiotherapist. I managed to work out, but the pain and stiffness afterwards worsened more and more. Then I found out about the lack of Magnesia.
I have also noticed, I’m feeling much better eating vegetarian food, preferable as much raw veggies and fruits as possible.

          • yeah – that magnesia topic is an important one – especially for us women.

          • well the two biggest things that I have finally accepted my body needs (with a tug of the ear – ha!) is that I need probiotics and enzymes. I used to buy some probiotics and then they would sit – but now that I full grasp what they do – I have different ones and I also drink a bit of unflavored/ unsweetened kefir almost every day. and then for the enzymes – they change the way the meal is digested and so we get more nutrients from lentils and meat. also, there is an enzyme called serrapeptase – and it is from silk worms and it helps to HEAL the body – especially for those who have had pathogens and needed to heal. and the brand solaray seeks it for like 11 Us dollars (very affordable)

          • Enzymes… oh… I have forgotten about that too. Don’t seem to have much of a brain nowadays. (Though better then only a month or two ago. I have managed to start reading again.)
I seem to be hooked on probiotics too, and less then a week ago I started to add chlorella algae (powder) in my breakfast.
Never any diary for me. Sometimes I get hybris and add milk in the coffee ot have some cheese on my rice cakes at work – I don’t feel anything by then, but just a couple of days later if I continue, I start to get sick. Heavy like lead both in head and body, tired and getting this awkward heartbeats.
I will check on this serrapeptase! Thank you! 🙂

          • I started taking some chlorella – with two beat capsules. But I still cannot seem to handle anything spirulina – and I tried. However, I did just order some barley powder (star west botanicals) and some turmeric – but the barley is supposed to be similar to chlorella and is jam packed with life giving iodine, chlorophyl and nutrients – mmmm

          • Chlorella is not only very nutritious, but also have the capability to clean the body from heavy metals and other poisenous stuff.
But when I tried that a couple of years ago, I got allergic reaktions like itching outbreaks and such. A friend later told me that could have been due to the fact I had a lot of waste products in my body. It might very well have been so!
Now I have recently finished the there week detox, had a couple of days “free” and then started with chlorella. Very small dose now at the beginning and so far I haven’t noticed any sign och allergic reaction.
I will probably not need extra iodine since I live by the sea. I guess.
This topic have so much to add, and it can be quite hard to get it all right. Though I really enjoy talking about food and health. Many must think I’m a freak since this is one of the topics I burn for.

          • I agree that this is a layered topic – boy oh boy is it! but I think that a healing body needs different things from someone who is maintaining – – oh and your friend was likely right – Iheard it was called the herxheimer reaction – and it makes us feel worse before we get better -<3

            Like

          • Yes sure the body does!
One just have to try to get the intake balanced so we don’t go from one side to the other, and getting an opposite unbalance!

I, for example, didn’t fully realize that with a lack of magnesia, adding calcium would not only increase the lack, but also it can make the calcium adds up in soft parts of the body instead of in the bone structure.
Also in stressful situations, the body needs at least twice the amount Mg.
As reflexologist I’m well aware of that reaction, but I have actually never heard of the name herxheimer before…
